UltraAlgo
Version 2
The UltraAlgo strategy has been designed to work during two common situations: trending and sudden departures of flat (low volatility) conditions. In trending markets, the process works by defining a range centered in the stock's price and firing when a momentum indicator crosses the top and bottom boundaries, issuing either "SHORT" or "BUY" signals, resp. The boundaries of the range are determined by two successive moving averages. The length of the look-back period can be tuned by the user. In the second case—during flat markets—a more stringent set of conditions allow to capture sudden departures of 'flat' periods (such as spikes, steps, and parabolics) by issuing "ULTRA_BEAR" or "ULTRA_BULL" signals, if the stock's price goes down, or up, resp. The conditions include (a) how long the stock has remained with low volatility and (b) the level of volatility. The length of the look-back period on which the calculations are done and the threshold to enter the buy or sell positions can ...

The length of the look-back period on which the calculations are done and the threshold to enter the buy or sell positions can be adjusted.

In addition, the algorithm allows to define StopLoss and ProfitTarget thresholds.
