Joshs SP 500 Swing Strategy
Version 15
This is a short term swing trading system for the S&P 500 E-Mini Futures contract that I trade with real money. This strategy uses a stop loss of $2500 or $2100 from the entry price on long trades. I trade one S&P 500 E-Mini Futures contract per $10,000 in my account. This strategy generates approximately 26 trades per year, and holds trades for around 3 days on average, or around 1.3 days in Eary Exit Mode. Only one trade is open at a time unless two trades are allowed to be open at the same time. This strategy is based on weekly, seasonal, inter-market correlations, and mean reversion techniques that I’ve found to work well and consistently on the S&P 500 E-Mini Futures. It trades several patterns in the long direction only. Data - The system requires at least 200 days of @ES S&P 500 Emini daily data. Money Management Rules – For best results, the default stop should be kept constant. However, the user can change these if there testing reveals different results. Pleas...
This is a short term swing trading system for the S&P 500 E-Mini Futures contract that I trade with real money.

This strategy uses a stop loss of $2500 or $2100 from the entry price on long trades. I trade one S&P 500 E-Mini Futures contract per $10,000 in my account. This

strategy generates approximately 26 trades per year, and holds trades for around 3 days on average, or around 1.3 days in Eary Exit Mode. Only one trade is open at

a time unless two trades are allowed to be open at the same time.

This strategy is based on weekly, seasonal, inter-market correlations, and mean reversion techniques that I’ve found to work well and consistently on the S&P 500

E-Mini Futures. It trades several patterns in the long direction only.

Data - The system requires at least 200 days of @ES S&P 500 Emini daily data.

Money Management Rules – For best results, the default stop should be kept constant. However, the user can change these if there testing reveals different results.

Please spend significant time determining how many contracts you should trade on your account based on your risk tolerance and account size.

Inputs – There are seven inputs available to the user, STOPLOSS1 and STOPLOSS2 and SHORTSTOPLOSS, which are the stop losses for each trade. The fourth input,

ENABLESHORTTRADES, enables the short portion of the strategy. The fifth input enables "Early Exit Mode" that tries to exit trades sooner than the default exit rule.

The sixth input, TRADESIZE_CONTRACTS, sets the number of contracts you would like to trade. The other input should only be changed to true if you intend on

manually taking pyramiding trades since this will disable auto trading capabilities. There is a take profit, called TPVAL, this take profit is only applied after

TPBARS number of bars after the trade, enter -1 for disabling TPBARS.

Solid strategy

I've been running this strategy for over a year now and it has posted solid returns with minimal draw down. I really like the way Josh has created the strategy using inter market relationships, an approach I find highly sophisticated and reliable in trading the markets.

On the few occasions I've been in contact with Josh via email, he has been very helpful and professional. So in closing, for anyone who wants a solid strategy in their arsenal, look no further.

I am currently subscribed to 3 of Josh’s 3 trading systems the SP500, Gold and Bonds, I highly recommend that you take Josh up on his free 30 day trial offer so you can see the systems for yourself. If you are looking for systems that are in and out of the market every day then this is not for you. If you are looking for a very easy to understand set of systems that take a few trades per month with an excellent 13 year track record with consistent monthly income then you must try out what Josh has to offer. Josh always responds to my emails very quickly and he was gracious enough to spend time with me on the phone a few times so he could clarify a few points for me. He is extremely knowledgeable, very patient and he will help you and guide you at your own pace with any and all questions that you have. I have bought and tested many systems and I must honestly say that what Josh developed far surpasses anything I have ever seen in terms of a consistent track record and percentage of winning trades. I would highly recommend studying the results of his systems combined so you can see for yourself how very often if one system is having a losing month (which definitely happens) the losses will be mitigated by a wining month in one of the other systems to help balance out the equity curve.
